Nate

Founder & CEO, Prothelio LLC

Nate comes from a military family. Born in North Carolina, he spent much of his childhood living overseas before moving to San Antonio, Texas, in 2014. He has called San Antonio home ever since, graduating from Texas A&M University at San Antonio.

Nate founded Prothelio after years of watching service businesses squeeze themselves into software that was never built for them.

Prothelio began as HeyChameleon, an early exploration of a fully customizable business platform. As the product evolved, it was rebranded as Prothelio.

Nate leads product and engineering from start to finish, building the mobile app, backend, and infrastructure. Every part of Prothelio is shaped directly by conversations with the service businesses it was built for.

The Why

Before Prothelio

In 2019, Nate started a business installing dashcams and custom lighting in customer vehicles. While building that business, he experienced firsthand how difficult it was to find software that actually fit the way service businesses operate.

The Idea

HeyChameleon is born

The first version of the platform was created as HeyChameleon, built around a simple idea: service businesses should not have to change the way they work just to fit their software.

Foundation

Core architecture takes shape

The core platform begins to take shape with the backend, authentication, and mobile apps. Documents, fields, and forms become the foundation, creating a flexible platform that can adapt to almost any service business.

Rebrand

HeyChameleon becomes Prothelio

HeyChameleon is rebranded as Prothelio, a name inspired by Proteus, reflecting the platform's ability to adapt to every business instead of forcing every business to adapt to it.

Now

Launching

Prothelio adds many basic and advanced features as it prepares for launch on iOS and Android. Nate did not want to release a product into the market he wasn't proud of. The idea comes from years of research, ideas and multiple iterations.
